Dubois, Benoit (Bergerie en folie)
Leather, skins and polar fleece
Having once been a sheep breeder and tanner, Benoit Dubois has now mastered the art of making items from skins and fabric.
He has been designing many different styles of slippers for children and adults for the past 20 years
A professional member of the Conseil des métiers dart du Québec (leather and skins category) for over 15 years, Benoit has proven his ingenuity by continuously perfecting his techniques and adapting his creations to reflect the changing tastes of our times.
He has an undeniable knack for successfully transforming raw material into practical creations.
His slipper making process involves many steps such as cutting, gluing, sewing and assembling.
A grant from the ministère de la Culture helped him develop a method for applying colour to various types of leather. More recently, he came up with an innovative combination of leather and polar fleece.
Always on the lookout for the latest in comfort and aesthetics, he nevertheless stays focused on his priority, which is to continue offering a quality product that helps retain body heat.
