Meet Eve Landry, Empreinte spokesperson
As we celebrate the 50th anniversary of Empreinte coopérative this year, we've decided to partner with a beloved Quebec actress: Eve Landry. Through this partnership, we wish to highlight our mission, our history and our creators who have left their mark since 1974.

This collaboration came about quite naturally, as Eve has been a real crush for all our members. Simple, accessible and sharing the same values as we do, she proved to be the ideal person to convey the passion present within the cooperative to the general public.
To our great delight, we spoke to her to find out more about her involvement and the reasons that motivated her to accept this brand-new role as spokesperson!

No, I didn't know anything about it at all! And yet, many of the coop's creators have their workshops right next door to me!
What was your reaction when l'Empreinte offered you the role?I immediately went to see the craftspeople's creations! I didn't want to be a spokesperson for something I didn't like or believe in. After only 30 seconds on their website, I knew I was going to say yes!
What motivated you to embark on this adventure?I'm a person who buys mainly local, whether for gifts or everyday purchases. I think it's extremely important! When it's done with passion and love, it touches me all the more. I was also looking forward to meeting the artisans and learning about the process behind their work. For me, it offers a whole new perspective that enriches the work and its history.
What do you hope to gain from this experience, both professionally and personally?Simply to give the gift of wealth to my loved ones. Products made at home, by passionate people. Getting to know the artisans, passing on their passion and know-how. Then, to inspire others to do the same.
What message would you like to convey as spokesperson? That it's important to buy local and prioritize homemade, handmade products. I find it so impressive to discover an artisan who has mastered his or her art and wants to share it. I sincerely hope to create a real encounter between the public and l'Empreinte.
Where does your interest in crafts come from?I come from a background where it's much more rewarding to give a gift or a thought that's handmade. My grandmother used to make jewelry and floral arrangements. My mother and sister have always painted. My mother-in-law sews beautiful stuffed animals. I've always been surrounded by people who are passionate about art. As for me, I've never bought a card in my life, and I've given away a lot! But I made them all myself.
Have you ever experimented with any form of art?I draw a lot. I paint occasionally. I tinker here and there. I'm pretty good at sewing. I sculpted the clay of the river where I lived, in the Lower St. Lawrence, all my childhood! I dabble in a bit of everything, by pass. I haven't perfected any of these art forms, I'm just having fun!
This association with Eve promises an adventure rich in discovery, passion and sharing! She is not only a committed spokesperson, but also an art lover, ready to inspire and celebrate creativity in all its forms.
