Ceramist
Marie-Christine Lété
Born in France and living in Montreal since 1985, she studied at the Centre de céramique Bonsecours from which she graduated in 1988.
Sculpture is a passion for Marie-Christine and is an integral part of her approach to ceramics. She is particularly fond of women's torsos modelled with pigeons. She also produces small series of decorative and utilitarian pieces made on the wheel and raku fired. This method, in effect playing with fire, produces results with exciting random effects.
Since 1989, Marie-Christine has been participating in Quebec's flagship ceramic event, 1001 pots in Val-David.
