Mathilda Lovell is a French-British ceramic artist. She inherited her passion from her grandfather, who was also a ceramist. Trained at Montreal's Centre de céramique Bonsecours, she creates a world in which bowls, plates, goblets and more become works of art. Her contemporary pieces are inspired by European, African and Aboriginal cultures. For this bowl, she drew inspiration from Maori culture.

Renée Bovet is a master of painting on silk. This artist, whose remarkable talent is to know how to feel and represent the joy of life, has been using this most refined mode of expression since 1978. Member of the Empreinte coopérative (Montreal), since 1988. She has received awards such as: Winner of the 1999 Prix du public, Salon des métiers d'art du Québec (Montreal) and fifty-nine of her paintings were chosen by the Quebec Ministry of Agriculture, in 1989, to be awarded to the winners of the "Villes et villages fleuris du Québec" contest.
